Can Roadwatch+ tell me who owns a vehicle from its number plate?

No. Roadwatch+ does not identify a registered keeper or access police, DVLA or other ownership databases. Number-plate recognition helps read and organise a registration visible in captured evidence.

How reliable is number-plate recognition?

Recognition can be affected by image quality, angle, lighting, motion and plate visibility. Roadwatch+ presents recognition as an aid and you should review important results yourself before relying on them.

Does number-plate recognition send the image away for processing?

The Roadwatch+ recognition workflow is designed to perform plate recognition on the iPhone. This helps keep the recognition process private and controlled on the device.

Can I operate Roadwatch+ while I am driving?
